What is MMM! Making Mealtimes Matter?

Making Mealtimes Matter is a 5-week course that introduces parents to the best tools that OTs use to decrease picky eating behaviors and better the mealtime experience for the whole family. Together, we will:

  1. Explore the factors impacting picky eating and other difficult mealtime behaviors

  2. Integrate tools and strategies into your family’s routine

  3. Understand terms such as food selectivity, food chaining, and the SOS approach

When is MMM! Making Mealtimes Matter?

MMM! meets weekly for 1-hour sessions on Zoom, from 8:00-9:00 pm. Groups run for 5 consecutive weeks and are typically offered three times a year (in March, May, and October.)

Am I the right fit for MMM! Making Mealtimes Matter?

Anyone with a child presenting with picky eating behaviors and feeding difficulties is welcome to attend. Groups are comprised of parents with similarly-aged children.

How much does MMM! Making Mealtimes Matter cost?

This program costs $300, covering the entire 5-week group. Because the group experience is an important part of the program, we cannot offer a daily rate.

How many parents are in a MMM! Making Mealtimes Matter group?

Groups are limited to 6 to 8 families. This helps us ensure that everyone receives individualized attention while reaping the benefits of an exciting group experience.

Does my child need to be in OT to benefit?

These groups are designed both for parents of children with identified needs and those without. Our groups are thoughtfully designed to meet and celebrate our different strengths, interests, and abilities.

Who leads the MMM! Making Mealtimes Matter group?

All groups are led by pediatric occupational therapist, Dr. Ellie Bendetson, OTD, OTR/L.
