What is Making Mealtimes Matter (Mmm!)?

Making Mealtimes Matter is a 6-week course that introduces parents to the best tools that OTs use to decrease picky eating behaviors and better the mealtime experience for the whole family. Together, we will

  1. Explore the factors impacting picky eating and other difficult mealtime behaviors

  2. Integrate tools and strategies into your family’s routine

  3. Chat about terms such as food selectivity, food chaining, and the SOS approach like it’s no big deal.

When is Making Mealtimes Matter?

Mmm! meets weekly for 1-hour sessions on Zoom. Weekly dates and times will be decided based on group availability.

Am I the right fit for Making Mealtimes Matter?

Anyone with a child presenting with picky eating behaviors and feeding difficulties is welcome to attend. Groups will consist of same aged peers.

How much does Making Mealtimes Matter cost?

This program costs $200, covering the entire 5-week group. Because the group experience is an important part of the program, we cannot offer a daily rate. Scholarships are available.

How many parents are in a Making Mealtimes Matter group?

Groups are limited to 6-8 parents. This helps us ensure that everyone receives individualized attention while reaping the benefits of an exciting group experience.

Does my child need to be in OT to benefit?

No way! These groups are designed both for children with identified needs and those without. Our groups are thoughtfully designed to meet and celebrate our different strengths, interests, and abilities.

Who leads the Making Mealtimes Matter group?

All groups are led by Leah (a pediatric occupational therapist and credentialed teacher) and Ellie (our doctoral resident and pediatric occupational therapist). Together, we offer a creative, collaborative approach to mealtime success.
