Is my child the right fit for the KINDER CLUB?
This program is designed for kids entering kindergarten this fall who could use extra practice with group routines, following directions, and fine motor/handwriting readiness. It's a great fit whether your child is working on a specific skill or just wants a confidence boost before the school year starts. This program is open to current and past Hiller Therapy clients only — it is not available for new client enrollment. To register, contact your child's OT directly.
Where does KINDER CLUB take place?
Kinder Club takes place at Hiller Therapy, an indoor/outdoor OT therapy studio located at 1137 S Point View Street in Los Angeles. Because we use both indoor classroom space and outdoor play spaces, please dress for the weather. We strongly encourage wearing socks (for inside) and closed-toed shoes (for outside). Please send your child with sunscreen already applied.
How many kids are in KINDER CLUB?
Week 1 small groups are limited to 4 children, so your child gets individualized attention within a group setting. Week 2 is individual sessions only.
Does my child need to be in OT to participate?
No way! These groups are designed both for children with identified needs and those that are looking for a fun way to strengthen skills. Our groups are thoughtfully designed to meet and celebrate our different strengths, interests, and abilities.
Who leads KINDER CLUB?
All groups are led by a pediatric occupational therapist along with a Masters-level occupational therapy student and a team of talented assistants. Together, we offer a creative, collaborative approach to writing instruction that combines extensive experience with a therapeutic approach that affirms each child's strengths. This team approach to learning ensures individualized attention with a 2:1 ratio. Week 2 individual sessions are led one-on-one by one of our pediatric occupational therapists.
What skills will we work on?
